The most beautiful accommodations

Beautiful hike from Kastelruth to St. Oswald with initially wonderful views of the lovely village of Tisens on the opposite side of the valley. The hike leads past beautiful farms to St. Oswald, where there are various places to stop for refreshments.
At Krausplatz, we follow marker 16 through the left archway and along the paved road to Hotel Kastelruth. Continuing on the main road for about 500 meters, we immediately leave it after Villa Kollomann and turn left onto a small access road leading to several farms, always following marker 16. The road is initially almost flat, passing the Katzenlocher and Rundschuh farms with a view of the charming village of Tisens on the opposite side of the valley.
We now descend gently towards the beautiful Puntschuh farm and then through the fields into the forest, steeply descending near a romantic stream canyon. This is a historic section of the path that was previously used as an important connection to the Kastelruther stop. Soon we reach the Planötsch farms and then ascend steeply in several turns past the Fall Bild and the Eislöchern, eventually arriving at St. Oswald.
The church of the same name was first mentioned in a document in 1234, and the tower still dates back to that time. Inside, we find some attractions such as the choir from 1400 and a painting of the Crucifixion from the mid-15th century on the northeastern choir wall. Near the church, very close to the school, there is a beautiful pond. It is very quiet and pleasant to linger here, and the sometimes loud frog concert is not at all disturbing.
At the Tschötscherhof (refreshment opportunity), there is a small farm museum with exhibits of rural culture. For the return trip to Kastelruth, we now take the road (marker 7) past the St. Oswald inn and follow it uphill in several turns to the Malider farms. Here we leave the road and turn left onto trail 5, which takes us initially through open meadows past the Sattlerhof and then through dense forest, steeply ascending to the Lanzinhöfen. The path from Sattlerhof to Lanzinhöfen is called Pestol in dialect. Here we are rewarded with a beautiful view of Kastelruth, the Geisler peaks, the Puflatsch, and the Schlern.
We reach Telfen on the asphalt road and follow marker 5 through meadows and short stretches of forest, eventually arriving back at the starting point of Kastelruth after about 30 minutes of walking.
