The Oswald von Wolkenstein Trail is a circular path that passes by the ruins of Salegg and Hauenstein and offers various stations that provide insight into the medieval life of the troubadour Oswald von Wolkenstein. This hike is also listed as the first one in the family hiking book "My Little Witch Nix Hiking Book".

The starting point is at the valley station of the Seiser Alm Aerial cableway. It can be reached with the shuttle buses no. 2, no. 3, no. 3A and no. 5/15.

Trail number 3 starts at the valley station of the Seiser Alm cable car and winds its way through the Hauensteiner forest, past the ruins of Hauenstein and Salegg. Following the family-friendly theme trail stations, you will return to the starting point. There are no places to stop for refreshments along the way, so it is advisable to bring a snack.
