Telfen is located halfway between Seis and Kastelruth. Parking is available at the Telfen swimming pool and sports center.
The starting point for the hike is in Telfen (located between Seis and Kastelruth). Along the road towards the Laranz sports field, a hiking trail leads into the forest on the left. After 700 meters, turn right onto the "Mushroom Trail," where informational signs provide details about the various mushroom species. Along this nature trail, visitors can admire tree trunks carved into the shape of fly agarics, porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, and other mushroom species, all of which grow in Laranzer Forest. At the highest point of the trail, a wooden observation platform offers a stunning view of the surrounding area.
After completing the short circular route, the hike continues towards the Königswarte, a special viewpoint named after King Friedrich August of Saxony, who particularly appreciated the view during his stays in Seis. From the Königswarte, return to the starting point along the same path.
