Ice skating on the Seiser Alm: Fun and keeps you fit

The ice rinks in Kastelruth and Seis am Schlern are all cleared of snow in time for the season and are therefore your go-to for winter skating in a stunning setting.

Another tip: the Völser Weiher, it is secluded, protected, and yet easy to reach. Here you have enough space (half of the lake is allowed to be used, the other half is a protected biotope) to spin your pirouettes or skate a few kilometers on the lake. The nearby restaurants promise warming up options to your liking after a long day in the fresh air and delicious food to go with it.

Make sure to always bring thick socks when using rental shoes and you haven't skated in a long time. Not always the perfect shoe in the ideal size is available and with your thick socks you prevent painful blisters.
